2025 DV JUNIOR PLAYER REGISTRATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED

Junior Player Information

Hi All, We have had lots of parents asking about Juniors so I thought I would put this post up so you all know what the process is.

At the moment, we are calling for registrations to be completed on our website - head to www.douglasvillaafc.co.nz to complete the registration form.

We will also be holding a couple of registration days at the clubrooms though these dates are still TBC when we know we have access to the clubrooms as they are currently undergoing renovations. At this stage, the dates are likely to be the 13th and 20th of March but we will confirm as soon as we can.

Once the registrations are complete, we can start compiling the teams. We try and keep teams the same as previous years where we can. If you have a request for a coach or other player to be in your team, please put this on the registration form.

DV will provide the playing tops for ALL players (these are to be returned to Villa at the end of the season). Parents of Juniors will need to purchase black shorts, soccer boots (Warehouse, Kmart, Number One shoes all stock these), Shin pads and DV Socks (purchase these from Shoe Clinic in Queen Street, Masterton).

We will also be holding a Club Day where coaches can collect team bags and meet the players in each team when these have been confirmed. This is likely to be the 10th of April.

As for game times and locations, these vary depending on the grade your child plays in.

The 6th, 7th and 8th grade teams play in a festival that rotates each weekend between Masterton, Carterton, Greytown, Martinborough and Featherston then back to Masterton to repeat the circuit.

The other grades will play at a variety of times and locations and the link to the draw will be posted on the DV website as well. We do not control the draw, this is managed by Capital Football so as soon as it is available, we will ensure the link it posted.

Hopefully this answers all of your questions but as always, please feel free to contact us and we will happily answer your questions
